Yashica 35mm Rangefinder Chronology & Specifications Featured are the Electro 35, Yashica G, GS, GSN, GTN, GL, MG1 and CC There are so many Yashica Electro 35 Rangefinder cameras on offer on the web, often with little in their description to differentiate themYashica Electro 35 GL, 40mm f/17 on Kodak TMax 400 at EI 1600 So far I haven't said much to distinguish the GL from the other Electro 35series cameras It has the most in common with the Electro 35 GX, with which it shares (as far as I can tell) the same 40mm f/17 glass Other cameras in the series offer a slightly longer 45mm f/17 I eventually chose Yashica Electro 35 GL as it has a few features making this model most advanced among the entire Electro 35 series 1 A bit wider 40mm lens instead of the common 45mm in other Electro 35s It seems that the difference is not noticeable but in fact, it makes it closer to a 35mm lens 2
